FP&A Analyst

Your new role

We’re looking for a passionate FP&A Analyst , You’ll play a key role in delivering financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and reporting support to enable strategic decision-making and optimise business performance.

This is a hybrid role based at our Doncaster Group Support Centre, with 2-3 days a week onsite

What you'll be doing

In this role, you’ll:

  • As an FP&A Analyst you will be technically competent with excellent communication and relationship building skills. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of robust forecasts, and accurate reporting of performance, producing a high standard of quality management information.

  • Reporting and Data analysis - Prepare regular and ad hoc reports to drive insight into Group Performance.

  • Forecasting and budgeting - support the delivery of forecasts and budgets. You will build strong relationships that allows you to work with the rest of the finance team and wider business stakeholders to ensure Budgets, Forecasts etc. are delivered in line with business deadlines.

  • Financial modelling - Develop & maintain financial models (Forecast, Budget, Capex appraisals) for completion by the Commercial Finance teams. Ensuring that these models capture the required financial information to form a consolidated view of the Budget that provides the correct level of insight.

  • Continual Improvement - Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement 

  • Deputise as required and support the wider team as and when required

The role is for you if...

We’re looking for experience in:

  • Financial Statements - A good understanding of primary financial statements  

  • Time management - ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively in a fast paced environment

  • Analytical skills - ability to analyse data, identify trends and inconsistencies

  • Team player who will support cross functionally as and when required 

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks

  • Commercial awareness and interest in getting to know the business to support insight led decision making


Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as an analyst / finance business partner. Or first mover from practice.
  • Professional: Newly qualified, or within 12 months of qualifying.
