Your new role
Location: Birchwood Way, Somercotes, Alfreton DE55 4QQ
Hours: Full Time. 39 hours per week.
Shifts: 4 Day working week!!
Mon - Wed 14:00 - 12:20
Thu - 14:00 - 12:05
You will be paid an initial training rate of £16.50 per hour until you are up to speed, you will then be paid piecework (so you will be rewarded for the more you make.)
What you'll be doing
We're looking for an experienced Fabric Cutter to join our fast paced manufacturing team at our Lincoln House manufacturing site, on a permanent basis.
A Fabric Cutter is a role to start building a rewarding career and making yourself at DFS. You will learn the processes of cutting fabric as part of the manufacturing process, building your existing ability and knowledge of using our Lectra/or similar cutting machines.
The role is for you if...
You have previous experience as a Fabric Cutter or using Lectra (or similar) cutting machines.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
You’re comfortable working to KPIs and understand the importance of accuracy and speed.
You take pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining attention to detail.
You’re motivated by being rewarded for the effort you put in (paid by results).
You enjoy being part of a team but can also work independently.
You’re keen to build on your existing skills and develop your career in manufacturing.
