Junior Risk Partner

Your new role

In this role, you’ll be undertaking:

  • Three year apprenticeship programme to become a Risk partner, completing the Senior Compliance and Risk specialist level 6 apprenticeship including the IRM International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management

  • Work as part of the Risk team to execute the risk management strategy

  • Supporting the facilitation of the identification, capture, reporting and management of emerging risks across the Group

This is a hybrid role based at our Doncaster Group Support Centre, with 2-3 days a week onsite.

What you'll be doing


  • Ensure risk owners/managers are actively involved in identifying, assessing and controlling risks

  • Continually look to improve and enhance risk reporting embedding the process into departments

  • Key stakeholder engagement to support a strong risk culture

  • Act as a point of expert guidance to the wider business on risk related matters

  • You will supply Independent review & challenge of risk registers to ensure all material risks have been identified and managed according to risk appetite and tolerance

The role is for you if...

  • Must be able to act on own initiative, operate professionally and work collaboratively with key stakeholders.

  • Logical/detailed approach required with an ability to see tasks through to a conclusion and work to targets/measures.

  • Educated to a minimum of A-level standard with GCSE’s in English and Maths.

  • Confident communicators

  • Are self motivated and dedicated to the study programme as there is the requirement for them to manage their study time alongside work responsibilities

  • A knowledge of risk management would be desirable but not essential. 

  • Committed to the apprenticeship study programme
