About the role:
As a Cushion Filler, you'll play an important part in creating the comfort and quality our customers expect from every DFS sofa. You'll carefully fill and shape cushions using a variety of materials, ensuring each one meets our high standards for comfort, appearance and consistency. Working as part of the production team, you'll take pride in producing quality products while maintaining a safe and organised work area.

Week One : Monday - Friday 5:30 am – 1:50 pm

What you'll be doing:
Filling sofa cushions using fibre, foam and other approved materials to meet product specifications.
Carefully shaping and finishing cushions to achieve a consistent look and feel.
Following work instructions and production schedules to meet daily targets without compromising quality.
Carrying out quality checks to ensure every cushion meets DFS standards before moving to the next stage of production.
Identifying and reporting any quality concerns, damaged materials or equipment issues.
Handling materials safely and efficiently, minimising waste wherever possible.
Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised work area in line with Health & Safety requirements.
Working closely with colleagues across the production team to keep products moving through the manufacturing process.
Following all company policies, safe working practices and manufacturing procedures.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting ways to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
This role is for you if :
Great attention to detail and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Good manual dexterity and enjoys practical, hands-on work.
The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to follow written instructions and production specifications.
An understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential).
Previous experience in upholstery, manufacturing or production would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
