Your new role
As a Quality Control Team Leader at DFS, you will lead and develop a high-performing team to maintain excellent product quality and operational efficiency. You’ll be responsible for managing performance, ensuring compliance with company policies, and aligning processes with strategic goals.
This hands-on role involves prioritising workloads, overseeing timely repairs, and driving continuous improvement through coaching, training, and cross-skilling. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage resources, monitor KPIs, and collaborate effectively across teams.

Salary up to £37,142.28 per year, depending on experience.
What you'll be doing
Manage absence and performance within the section
Lead, development and coach staff to ensure KPIs are hit
Succession planning in place
Ensure that the Company’s Health & Safety Policies are rigorously applied.
Compliance with the Company’s policies and directives.
Use a proactive approach to manage the workload and staff levels
Ensuring that wages are correct and truly representative of the section performance
Ensure that the daily loads are cleared in priority order
Repairs are completed in a timely manner and the information recorded and trends identified
Effective training in place to ensure all staff are competent with product knowledge and factory processes
Approachable and positive, able to motivate staff
Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives, delivers results and looks to continuously improve
Ensure the team are cross skilled, so that holidays and absence does not impact on the quality of or delivery of any standard work
Set departmental objectives/KPI’s which align to the overall business strategic goals

5 years experience in a similar role (Desirable not essential)
