Sewing Machinist

What you'll be doing

• Operating industrial sewing machines to stitch fabric, leather, and other materials for upholstery production.
• Sewing materials, ensuring precise and clean seams according to product specifications and quality standards.
• Follow detailed work instructions and patterns to ensure accuracy in product assembly.
• Inspect finished seams and stitching for quality, ensuring durability and consistency.
• Maintain sewing machines by performing routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments as needed.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless flow of work and timely production.
• Report any defects or issues with materials or equipment to the team leader.
• Adhere to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Keep track of production progress and report any delays or issues that may impact timelines.
• Be proactive in identifying and suggesting improvements to enhance production efficiency or quality.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality, health, and safety.

The role is for you if...

You are a detail-oriented and skilled individual with experience in sewing and working with industrial sewing machines. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working to clear targets, where your efficiency and quality of work are directly linked to your success. You have a strong work ethic, take pride in producing high-quality products, and are comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. You are adaptable, proactive, and able to troubleshoot minor machine issues, ensuring that production continues smoothly.
