Your new role
DFS is looking for a passionate and proactive Social Media & Content Senior Executive to work within the DFS marketing team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in the 'Home' category and have a strong mix of creative and technical skills which will be used to take ownership of the day to day management of our social platforms as well as create content for, implement and contribute to the organic social media strategy.
The right candidate will have bundles of enthusiasm for promoting the DFS brand and product range across our social media platforms and will be committed to the communities they manage. They will report into the Head of PR and Influencer Marketing but they will sit within the marketing team and have strong working relationships with our brand and digital marketing colleagues. They will also work alongside the social media customer service team to ensure our community's needs are being met.
What you'll be doing
Day to day implementation of the organic social media strategy and management of DFS social media channels, adapting content to suit different channels
Oversee the scheduling of content across platforms using scheduling tools (Sprinklr)
Create engaging content as well as outsource and manage production of content
Work with the PR team to form key relationships with influencers and the SEO team to ensure maximum optimisation
Understand, research, track and engage with our social media communities
Set targets, monitor, track, analyse and report on the performance of our campaigns and platforms using insight tools (Sprinklr)
Use insights to keep up with latest trends and adapt our activity to ensure continued relevance and increased performance
Analyse and report on competitor activity
Work alongside and educate other team members on the best use of social media
Liaise and collaborate with cross agency partnership
The role is for you if...
You have an excellent operational understanding of a range of social media platforms particularly Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
A good understanding of consumer behaviours and consumer marketing
Strong copywriting and editing skills with a good eye for detail
Good creative skills in order to contribute new and innovative ideas
Analytical skills in order to monitor and measure success and interpret stats
Good organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and produce quality work at pace
Good communication skills with a collaborative attitude and easily able to form good working relationships with both colleagues and agency partners
Ability to understand and spot reputational risk
