Your new role

The Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between business problems and technology solutions. They capture, analyse, and document requirements, ensuring that delivery teams understand the "why" and "what" behind every change. As a Business Analyst the focus is on high-quality execution within specific projects or work streams. 

What you'll be doing

Translating complex business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Conducting  "as-is" and "to-be" process modelling to identify efficiencies and eliminate waste.

Facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams to build consensus on solution design.

 Use data modelling and gap analysis to validate that proposed solutions will deliver the expected business value.

Work closely with the Service Transition and Support teams to ensure all functional knowledge is transferred, support documentation is finalised, and"early life support" requirements are defined for a smooth handover.

Support the end-to-end testing life cycle by defining clear acceptance criteria and assisting the business with User 

Hold responsibility  for maintaining a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure every business requirement is explicitly linked to a functional design element and successfully validated through testing, ensuring no "requirement leakage" occurs during delivery.

The role is for you if...

  • Highly proficient in process mapping, data modelling, and gap analysis; able to translate ambiguity into structured requirements.
  • Strong understanding of both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall delivery frameworks, with the ability to manage backlogs and sprints effectively.
  •  Ability to challenge business requests to ensure they align with functional goals, acting as a "filter" for value rather than just a "note-taker."
  • Skilled at facilitating workshops and managing stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Ops, and IT to drive consensus.
  • Ability to understand IT system integrations and digital architectures (Web, Mobile, CRM) to ensure requirements are technically feasible.


Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience working within a Supply Chain or Consumer Retail environment.
  • Technical Tooling: Demonstrable experience using JIRA/Confluence for workflow management and appropriate process mapping tooling for requirement documentation.
  • Minimum of 3+ years in an analytical role, with evidence of delivering projects that achieved measurable efficiency gains.
