Upholstery Web Trade Lead

Your new role

As the upholstery web trade lead for DFS you will be building great relationships with commercial, marketing, retail and customer teams. 

You will be looking at product performance data and identifying which ranges are working well and which ranges need more support. You will review the way products are displayed on the site and boost products up the listers when they are performing well. Understanding campaigns, new product and brand launches will be an important part of this role and planning how we bring the key features and benefits to life with appropriate content. 

This is a hybrid opportunity, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. 

What you'll be doing

  • Campaign and Product Set up : Support promotional and new product launches ensuring proper setup of copy, imagery, pricing, and campaign timelines that maximise sales opportunity. 
  • Lead on ad hoc promotions and seasonal sales, Black Friday etc supporting the product set up team with onsite execution. 
  • Driving Upholstery Sales Performance: Explore initiatives to enhance upholstery product sales across DFS.CO.UK and DFS.IE.
  • Tactical Trading Actions: Utilise data and insight to evaluate product performance, prioritising top-converting items or those getting lots of views via homepage nominations, sequencing etc. Working with the analytics manager to get the right data.
  • Customer Journey Improvements: Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities to improve customer journey, implementing solutions with relevant stakeholders. Review and have input on AB test ideas supporting optimisation. 
  • Performance Reporting: Deliver and present insights on trading trends and opportunities using analytical tools like GA4, Power BI, and Content Square. Training will be provided. 
  • Project Support : Support improvements across Attract, Inspire, Convert and Nurture as required. 


    Relationship Building:
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Ensure alignment on email campaigns.
  • Coordinate with Buying and Merchandising: Ensure you stay informed about new product launches and campaigns by having strong relationships
  • Engage Customer services and Websales: Ensure any pain points or opportunities across the business are explored.

You have...

  • Experience in upholstery: Understand the upholstery sector and the product attributes and promotional messages that need to be highlighted to customers.  
  • Analytical and Commercial  awareness: Solid analytical skills combined with an understanding of how we can drive better performance.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Ability to build and nurture relationships with both internal and external teams, fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Customer-Centric Attitude: Focused on delivering great customer experiences with a positive, hardworking, and proactive mindset.
  • Previous ecommerce experience is not essential but awareness and understanding of what makes a good customer experience is.  Being able to communicate what a great ecommerce experience looks like for you as an end user is important. landing pages, and SEO opportunities.
