Your new role

Location: Berkeley Magna, Long Eaton, NG10 1PR

Hours: Full Time. 39 hours per week.

Shifts: Monday to Thursday - 6.00am until 3.00pm, Friday - 6.00am until 11.00am

Salary: You will be paid an initial training rate until you are up to speed, you will then be paid piecework (so you will be rewarded for the more you machine.) Training salary negotiable. OTE £34,500 per annum + Benefits package (£17ph) 

 

What you'll be doing

  • Operating industrial sewing machines to stitch fabric, leather, and other materials for upholstery production.
  • Sewing materials, ensuring precise and clean seams according to product specifications and quality standards.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and patterns to ensure accuracy in product assembly.
  • Inspect finished seams and stitching for quality, ensuring durability and consistency.
  • Maintain sewing machines by performing routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments as needed.
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless flow of work and timely production.
  • Report any defects or issues with materials or equipment to the team leader.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Keep track of production progress and report any delays or issues that may impact timelines.
  • Be proactive in identifying and suggesting improvements to enhance production efficiency or quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality, health, and safety.

  • You are adaptable, proactive, and able to troubleshoot minor machine issues, ensuring that production continues smoothly.
