Your new role
Are you a detail oriented finance professional with a passion for accuracy and efficiency? We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Senior Administrator to take ownership of our supplier payment process and help keep our financial operations running smoothly.
This is a hybrid role based at our Doncaster Group Support Centre, with 2-3 days a week onsite.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you’ll:
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and mentor a team of administrators, sharing expertise and providing ongoing support to ensure accurate, efficient invoice processing.
Invoice & Payment Management: Oversee the day-to-day processing of invoices, ensuring aged and unapproved invoices are cleared promptly and regular or ad-hoc supplier and employee expense payments are made within agreed timelines.
Financial Controls: Clear down the GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) in line with monthly timetables and contribute to period-end reporting requirements.
Reconciliation & Query Resolution: Reconcile supplier statements, act as the main escalation point for supplier and internal manager queries, and manage timely resolution of discrepancies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with approvers and internal stakeholders to streamline and maintain an effective supplier payment process.
Compliance & Process Improvement: Administer and process colleague expense claims in accordance with company policy, maintain and update standard operating procedures, and conduct regular process reviews to drive efficiency.
Operational Excellence: Prioritise workload throughout the day to meet payment cut-offs and service-level agreements, and support Accounts Payable Team Leaders with ad-hoc tasks as required.

Excellent Communication: Clear and confident written and verbal skills, able to collaborate effectively across all levels of the business.
Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Time & Deadline Management: Proven ability to prioritise tasks, remain composed under pressure, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
Organisational Strength: Self-motivated, adaptable, and highly skilled in planning, organisation, and administration.
Experience & Qualifications
Proven track record in supporting the implementation of new technologies or system upgrades.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace (G Suite), and familiar with Open Accounts or similar finance systems.
Background or understanding of finance processes is advantageous.
